Up until about a week ago, Claire was STILL consistently eating every 3 hours around the clock. It amazed me that she would wake up 3 hours.. almost to the minute... since the last time she had eaten. Knowing that many other babies her age (or younger!) were sleeping for longer stretches at night, I would put her to bed each night hoping this would be the night she slept longer. Last week my wish started to come true! Claire started to sleep for about 4 - 4 1/2 hours at a time. Then, two nights ago, she slept for 5 hrs, 45 mins. And last night she slept for 7 hours!! Hallelujah! I can't tell you how nice that 6 straight hours of sleep was for me. I haven't had that in almost 3 months. And I'm one of those girls that really loves her sleep. :)
We have started to get into somewhat of a daytime routine around here as well, which has started to make life much more predictable. When we first started working on the routine, she would only nap for 45 minutes each time, but her naps have been getting longer now, too. She's napping for about an hour each time now.
Claire has had several pretty fussy days in a row. I don't know if she had gotten a little of my sickness (she was running a low grade fever) or if she was having reflux pain or what, but she just seemed to be fussy all day. But yesterday was a really good day. She was smiling and cooing all day... and that made for one happy mommy!!

Yea! I hope that she continues to sleep more during the night now.
I'm glad to hear that the schedule is working out better now. Hopefully we can work on that too if things calm down here soon.
You are so lucky that she is sleeping that long!! Henry still gets up two times at night (and that just started 2 weeks ago, it used to be 3 or 4 each night). I haven't got to sleep longer than 5 hours in a row yet....one day it will come! I'm so happy for you that she is doing so well-what a big girl! -Carissa
