Part of the reason I have this blog is so that I can look back on it and remember what life was like as Claire was growing up. It's so easy to forget the little details, but hopefully this blog will help me remember some of them!
So, with that being said, I want to remember what a typical day was like for me, as the mama of an almost 8-month-old baby. Here goes...
Between 6:00-6:45 am Claire wakes up, but this mama never gets her up before 6:30, so sometimes Claire just hangs out in the crib for awhile until I decide I'm ready to start the day
6:30-7:00 I get Claire up, nurse her, and usually bring her to our bed to say good morning to daddy
7:00-8:00 Playtime! Claire plays in her exersaucer, jumperoo, or with her toys on the floor
8:00-8:15 Breakfast - Claire usually has some type of fruit, maybe some yogurt, and some water. This child LOVES to eat! :)
8:15-9:00 More playtime. Sometimes we read books, sing songs, "play" with Sadie (the cat)
9:00-10:30ish Naptime -- I always sing Claire's favorite song before putting her to sleep. Which song, you ask? The one I made up for her.. haha! Didn't know I was such a talented songwriter, did ya? :) I don't really know where it came from, but she LOVES it. I sing it to her before each nap and Justin sings it before bedtime. It never ceases to relax her and if she's crying, she always stops when she hears "the song."
10:30 Claire wakes up, I nurse her, and then I get her ready for the day. I have a feeling this baby is going to be one girly girl. Every morning I walk to her closet and open the door to pick out her outfit. She instantly starts kicking her legs, batting her arms, and smiling. She loves to look at her clothes! It is hilarious!!
11:00-1:00 We usually go out and do something during this time. Either grocery shopping, bank, post office, Target.. etc... any miscellaneous errands are usually done during this time.
1:00-2:30ish Afternoon nap - sing the song and down she goes
2:30ish-5:00 I nurse Claire when she wakes up. Then we have playtime or maybe go to play group, sometimes go for a walk, etc...
5:00 Dinner! Claire usually eats some vegetables, maybe a little tofu. Again, still haven't found a food she doesn't like!!
5:30-6:00 Daddy is home by now, so Claire usually gets some playtime with him. Some nights she gets a bath during this time, too.
Between 6-6:30 Bedtime! Claire begins to melt when she's ready for bed - she lets us know! Justin puts her in her jammies, gives her a bottle, and she's out for the night!
And that's our day, in a nutshell!! I'm sure before too long things will change, but for now, that's what a day in the life of Claire is like.

Sounds like you have done an awesome job of establishing a good routine for her. I hope she keeps it up for you! And that is awesome that she is loving every food, keep up the variety -- for some reason our boys don't eat many things they ate as babies. Also, I want to hear the song!
I think your blog is missing a little singing ala Annie! Let's hear Claire's song!
I LOVE that if I had a blog and was writing out Liam's schedule it would be EXACTLY the same!! So keep me posted if you make a change, so I can follow accordingly! :)
That is funny. My husband made up a song for our oldest when he was a baby too. He still knows it today!
I cannot believe how much she sleeps! How great! You are such a good mommy.
Thanks for the schedule, Annie. If I'm thinking of calling, it gives me a good idea when it isn't a good time! :) I also made up a song for my first child and adapted it for the second and third. It kind of went in the rhythm of the rocking chair I sat in.

Almost the same as Anni's when she was that age, just wanted you to know yoru p's arrived safe....crazy scene at teh port ...survivor TZ begins :) love u!!
