Happy 11 months!

Happy 11 month birthday, Claire Bear!!

We continue to love every moment with this happy girl! Claire is still taking 2 naps a day and sleeping at least 12 hours at night. She continues to love all food and we STILL haven't found a food that she doesn't like. She still loves her veggies and gobbles up green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, cooked carrots, corn, etc.. She loves waffles, oranges, graham crackers, toast, black beans, cheese..... this girl just loves to eat and it makes all the time I spend making food and cleaning up totally worth it. About 2 weeks ago, she decided she was done nursing, so she is completely weaned. (I wasn't totally ready but Claire made it clear that she was...) She gets a bottle in the morning when she wakes up and another one before bed. I gave her a sippy cup with some soy milk in it today and she loved that, too. Her two bottom teeth are so close to cutting through those gums, but aren't quite there yet. I thought for sure she'd have a tooth by 11 months, but we're still waiting on that! (Then again, I was convinced she was getting a tooth at six months, so that shows how much I know!) She loves to look out the window and gets especially excited when she sees a bird or a dog. She also loves our cat Sadie. We are trying to teach her the concept of being gentle. She hasn't quite caught on yet :) but thankfully, Sadie is very gracious and lets Claire 'pet' her anyway.

After about a week of belly crawling, Claire decided that today, on her 11 month birthday, she would try crawling on her knees. Just in the few hours she's been doing it today, she's already getting faster and more efficient.

I see my life changing before my very eyes. Claire has decided to explore some new places with this new found mobility...

Thank you, Lord, for this precious, precious girl and allowing us to be her earthly parents. Teach us how to honor You in our parenting.
