The Big Move

Here are a few highlights from the 810 mile move!!  I am SO glad that is behind us now!

Last breakfast in our IC home.

Sitting on the front step for the last time!

Our house still has not sold so we would appreciate your prayers for the right buyer to come along SOON!

The garage was FILLED with boxes!

Trying to get everything to fit!  In the end, we had to put several things on the curb and give away some things to friends because it just all wouldn't fit.  These guys worked miracles though in getting most of it to fit!
My parents graciously offered to come with us on the long trek.  Justin drove the truck and my dad rode with him and then I drove the van with the girls and Grammy!  We drove to Nashville and stayed overnight here, after a super fun dinner with my best friend from high school and her hubby, along with my cousin's family and my aunt and uncle.  Big, fun group!

The next day we drove the remaining four hours and arrived around 1 in the afternoon.  The girls did amazingly well.  I was expecting the worst, since we have never done a drive quite that long before, but they were so well-behaved and even QUIET for most of the drive.  I know people were praying for us because that is NOT normal for them!  ;)

After a quick inspection of our rental house, we started the process of unloading and unpacking!

Babu taking a break in the truck.

Grammy working in the kitchen.

Filling up the new garage.

We put these two to some serious work so we made sure to give them a few breaks, too!  :)
My parents were such amazing help over the four days they were here.  They got almost everything unpacked for us, watched the girls so we could set things up, get our drivers' licenses, run errands, etc..  Claire and I both cried upon saying goodbye to them, but now that my dad is retired, we know they will be back to visit lots!
