Operation: Share a Room

The girls made it through their first night sharing a room AND sleeping in bunk beds!  We got the bunk beds set up over the weekend and Claire had been sleeping in them for a few nights on her own.  Last night we decided to put Emma in the room, too, and we all survived.  ;)

Clare did a great job being quiet and ignoring Emma's crying but she made sure to loudly report, "Emma is climbing onto the top bunk!"  Birth order is such an interesting thing, ya know?  Claire fulfilled her oldest child role perfectly!  Ha!

Emma took a lot longer to fall asleep than she normally does but she eventually did and they both slept all night long.  This morning when they woke up, I heard them talking and it was so sweet!  I was excited to get in there and snap a picture of their first morning waking up together.

Good morning!

Sounds like the first night went well. It took our girls about 1 week to get into a good routine with it and then it was no big deal. I never had a sister so it is already fun seeing the bond being created by being in the same room together. Sometimes squabbles as well but overall it has been a much more positive experience than I first anticipated. Hope you guys are getting settled in alright.
