Playgroup...ATL edition!

A new friend and I decided to start a playgroup and we officially had our first one this week.  I have missed, so much, having a regular, weekly playgroup to attend.  It's so great for kids to get to play with other kids, share their toys, and have fun together while the mamas get to chat... even if the chatting is in the midst of breaking up arguments, redirecting children, cleaning up, changing diapers, feeding kiddos, etc..  After all, that's a good chunk of a mama's day anyway!

When we were in Iowa, two friends and I started up a playgroup when our babes were only months (or was it weeks??) old and the group grew from three mamas and three babes to more than 10 mamas and 15 kids!  I'm excited to see how God grows this new group.  We had four mamas and nine kiddos at our first playgroup.

It's really awesome to watch as God unfolds this new chapter of our lives.  I'm telling you... bittersweet is really the only word I can use to describe it.  I miss so many things everything about Iowa.  I've had several hard days recently, thinking about how much easier life would be if we would have just stayed in Iowa.  But in those moments, I'm also reminded of the things God is doing now and I can't help but think that we'd also be missing out if we hadn't moved.  I know we are where God wants us and that is totally the best place to be.  And most of the time, I'm okay with that.  But, that doesn't mean it's always easy.  It's not supposed to always be easy, though, is it?  I mean, even with the sadness that has come with adjusting to our new normal and missing Iowa, it's also really exciting because I know from past experiences in our lives that this is when we often see God work the most.  So, move Lord Jesus!  We're ready for it!

Be thankful you have kids as a great icebreaker and excuse to get together with others. I need a group to join so I can meet people too!
