Kindergarten.. it actually happened

Y'all. All of this crazy change lately.  Moving, settling into a new home, making new friends, missing old ones, Emma turning 4, Claire starting kindergarten.  Please, Lord... can we get a little stability up in here?  My emotions can't handle any more of this!

So, she's off.  We walked her to school this morning and kissed her teary cheeks goodbye and left.  I couldn't even offer her any encouragement because I was crying too.  She was so excited but started to feel a little nervous when we had to leave.   I think and hope she will recover from her sadness quickly and settle into the day well.

Look at this beautiful child.

I loved walking her to school and seeing all of the neighborhood kids heading there too.  There's something about school that just creates such community.

Excited to see what God has in store for Claire this year!

Beautiful photos! Praying for Claire today and for you. Looking forward to building friendship and community with you here and praying for stability for you as well. We were there last year...it's exhausting! My heart is so with you!

Thanks Kim! I'm definitely feeling the absence of community as we start this transition to school. Thankful we have the opportunity to get to know you guys better!

Our big day is tomorrow. I think we're all ready, but I know it's a monumental day tomorrow. They grow up so fast and into such little ladies. I hope Claire had a great day today!

How fun! You get to walk to school! That is absolutely sweet!!!! Claire is gorgeous Annie! I know it is a tough, surreal day! When did this growing up business happen?! I read somewhere that every new stage for the oldest child makes them seem so big, and by the time the younger ones reach that stage, they still seem so little. Claire (and Garrison) are pioneering this training up a child in the way they should go deal for us....and it is so hard! So hard to watch them grow and give them wings. But so rewarding as well!!!! Proud of you momma!!!!

Beautiful pictures but they left a little lump in my throat. We are so proud of Claire and your whole family. What a blessing you are to us and those around you.
