College pals

My dear friend from college, Rachelle, came to visit! Now that we are only a few hours from Chicago, I can finally see old friends more easily. Rachelle and I were such good friends in college and we joke about how we had the same life. Our freshman year we lived on the same dorm room floor and then we lived together for the next 2 years. We were in the same sorority, same Bible study, worked at the same job, and had the same major, so took many classes together. The crazy part of the story comes when she became part of my family! She ended up marrying my second cousin... who I had never met until Rachelle started dating him. At her wedding, we actually took a family picture and we were both in it.. how crazy is that?! We even realized that our children will be third cousins!! How often does your really good friend end up in your family? I love it!!
We had a great time reminiscing about our college days.. right here in our college town! We had lunch at our favorite downtown restaurant and grabbed some ice cream from good ol' Whiteys. Of course we had to drive by our sorority house and our old apartment. So good to be close to awesome friends again!! :)
