Quick Trip to Iowa!

A couple of weeks ago we took a super quick trip to Iowa to surprise my BFF on her 30th bday.  She was such a huge part of my 30th birthday celebration and I just couldn't imagine not being a part of hers.  Although she certainly kept us on our toes and we were forced to change the plan at least three times, it was SUPER fun to surprise her!



It also happened to be Iowa's homecoming weekend so the kids got to take in the homecoming parade.

We also got the super awesome privilege of accompanying the birthday girl and her hubby to the homecoming game.  Although Iowa couldn't pull off the win, it was so fun to be back at Kinnick again.








The girls were happy to get some time at Grammy and Babu's house, too!



And they loved catching up with their cousins, too!

The trip was over way too fast and we would have loved an extra week to be able to see everyone.  It was very limited because of Justin's work schedule but I'm so thankful we were able to be there, even if just for a short time.  We'll be back in the summer... hopefully for a longer trip and with a 5th member of the Shoe Fam in tow!
