We've been encouraging Claire to try going to the bathroom on the potty every once in awhile. If she actually goes (this has only happened twice) she gets a sucker. We felt like we should reward her trying too, so if she tries to go she gets a candy corn. :) Well, she wanted to try yesterday so she did. Justin praised her and gave her the candy corn. This conversation followed:
Justin: Do you know why you get this candy corn?
Claire: Pumpkin
Justin: Okay but do you know why Daddy is giving you this piece of candy?
Claire: Trick or treat
Justin: Claire, what did you do to get this piece of candy?
Claire: God!!
At that point he gave up and told her. :)
Justin: Do you know why you get this candy corn?

Funny! I was potty trained around the same time of year and my parents also used candy corn for my reward. I still think of potty training every time I see candy corn!
