Milestones

These are big days around these parts.  Today we visited Claire's kindergarten class and met her teacher.  In two days, we send her off to the world of elementary school.  Months ago, I was wrestling through this decision and, to be honest, SCARED about sending her into the world.  Justin was such an encouragement to me through all of my indecision, fear, worry, and concerns.  He has always felt so strongly that public school is the right choice for our family yet he allowed me to question and pray and cry and worry.  In the end, we decided that sending Claire to kindergarten is the right choice for us, for now.  We don't know what the future holds but for now, that's what we're doing.

After months of anticipation, we finally got to meet Claire's teacher today and see her classroom.  And, let me tell you something.  It was amazing.  Her teacher was sweet and welcoming and animated and got right down on the kids' level.  The room was bright and cheerful and fun and engaging.  Claire loved it and was so happy to meet some new kids and see her classroom.  I am so excited for her!  As a former school lover, I am so happy that our daughter gets to have this experience.

Ready or not kindergarten, here comes Claire Bear!

As if that isn't enough for a mama's heart to handle, tonight I put my three-year-old to bed for the last time... tomorrow Emma turns FOUR.  We read through all of the books I've made her for her birthdays before bed, and in a matter of 10 minutes, we made it through four years of life.  It feels like it's gone by just that fast.

We celebrated Em on Saturday with my siblings and two of my cousins.  That meant Emma celebrated with six of her cousins and four of her second cousins!

You can't beat a Frozen/princess/pool/pinata/cousin party!

So, that's where we are at.  Big life milestones happening.  Lots of mama tears flowing.  Praying we make it through this week!
